Volunteering for ...
Seagrass Processing
This is an example of what is likely to be offered.
We have a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to help us process seagrass plants ready for planting.
Must I live locally?
You can, but you don't have to, this is open to everyone. It will be located at our base.
Why?
We think transplanting seagrass plants is the key to restoration at scale, but it takes a lot of time to process the harvested plants. Each plant needs a weight attached to help with survivability. That is why we need help. The processed seagrass will be planted out by our team which should form vitally important new meadows.
What do you need to know?
No experience necessary; this will be all onshore volunteering so no need to get wet.
